AlCircle is pleased to announce the joining of Carmelo Maria Brocato as Strategic Advisor for Europe and North America region. Mr Brocato is presently associated with GMS/Engitec Group as Head of the Aluminium Division from April 2019.

He has more than 30 years of experience in international business and has successfully spent more than 23 years of his professional career in the metal industry. Mr Brocato began his career with Continuus Properzi Spa and during his 19 years span, he attained the position of Commercial Director and Vice-President of the Board.

An Engineer by qualification, Carmelo Maria Brocato has also worked as Vice-President – Aluminium & Copper WRM at Danieli & C. Officine Meccaniche S.p.a. before joining GMS/Engitec Group.

Mr Brocato is a popular name among Italy’s metals industry and he is also famed as a top global expert on industrial plants producing wire rods and nonferrous ingots.

Over the last 23 years, he has collaborated with the major aluminium producers in Europe, North America, China and India, resulting, as an example, in the installation of several large WRMs, including those of Aditya Mahan, and Korba Jharsuguda of Hindalco, Balco and Vedanta.
