Aluminium is a metal with many applications in the construction and automotive industries. But aluminium usage is constantly increasing in other sectors as well; communication & telecommunication is one of those industries where applications of aluminium and alloys are growing. Below are some of the examples –
COMMUNICATION CABLES
Aluminium alloy conductors are used for communication cables. Generally, the aluminium cable will be substantially cheaper. However, copper cable is more malleable and less susceptible to electrical contact problems, thus offering a more significant margin of safety than a corresponding aluminium cable. Aluminium-iron-magnesium is a great conductor, and currently, its use in the cable industry is increasing because of its lightweight nature and cost advantage.
SATELLITE COMMUNICATION
Apart from Kevlar, the other material often used in space is aluminium , which is light in weight. Aluminium is not incredibly strong, but it becomes much more vital when combined into alloys with other metals. Aluminium alloys are often solid and lightweight enough to be functional in space structures and satellites. Aluminium is used for the shutters on the windows of the International Space Station to protect the windows from impacts. Often, these windows have two times as many panes as ordinary ones and are made with thicker glass than the glass on earth. However, the additional aluminium shutters guarantee the safety of the astronauts within.
TELECOMMUNICATION CAVITY
The telecommunication accessory is a kind of cavity shell of communication equipment. Telecommunication equipment includes wired telecom equipment and wireless telecom equipment. Wired telecom equipment includes serial communication, professional bus communication, industrial Ethernet communication, and conversion equipment between various communication protocols. The wireless telecom equipment is especially wireless AP, Wireless Network Bridge, wireless network card, wireless lightning arrester, antenna, and other equipment. These usually find applications in telecommunication base stations, automobiles, electronics etc.
Telecommunication cavity processing adopts aluminium alloy as raw material, and after accurate calculation by an advanced CNC processing equipment system, the product is more durable and safer. The products processed by the CNC communication cavity can be precise to micro-millimetre units. Concerning CNC telecommunication cavity processing customization, EMP has a professional technical production team and advanced production and processing equipment to produce high-quality products.
ALUMINIUM CASTING RADIATOR
The manufacturing process of the die-cast aluminium radiator is complicated, with multiple production processes such as melting, die-casting, deburring, pressure testing, electrophoresis, powder coating, etc. It is precisely because it is easy to be extruded and formed into various shapes, so the appearance is novel and beautiful, and the decoration is vital. In comparison to copper-aluminium composite radiators, aluminium alloy radiators offer better thermal conductivity. 5G equipment, power electronics, telecom, various power supplies, chassis, and other industries can benefit from this technology.
Apart from these, aluminium die-casting alloys like ADC12, A380 and ADC10 are used in the below-mentioned applications in the telecommunication industry -
