Description

Graphitized petroleum coke is calcined petroleum coke as raw material, after high-temperature graphitization, physical and chemical reaction and sulfur removal ash and other impurities after the product is sometimes called artificial graphite, used in carburizing agent, often known as ultra-low sulfur/low nitrogen carburizing agent. Graphitized petroleum coke is a black or dark grey hard solid petroleum product, with a metallic lustre, porous, is composed of tiny graphite crystallized into a granular, columnar or needle form of carbon body. Petroleum coke is a hydrocarbon, containing more than 99% carbon, but also contains nitrogen, chlorine, sulfur and heavy metal compounds.

Properties and uses:

Graphitized petroleum coke is widely used in industry. It is used in metallurgy, casting and precision casting as a carburizing agent. It is used to make high temperature graphite crucible for smelting, lubricant for mechanical industry, making graphite electrode and pencil lead.
