Academic & Training Services
The Jawaharlal Nehru Aluminium Research Development and Design Centre (JNARDDC), Nagpur was conceived as the major R&D support system for the emerging modern aluminium industry in India and is a US$ 10 million joint venture supported almost equally by Department of Mines, Government of India and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). It has successfully carried out a large number of research projects for the Indian Aluminium Industry in the areas of Bauxite, Alumina, Analytical Methods, Aluminium Electrolysis and Downstream Processing.
Centre offers Training Programs consisting of interesting lectures by experts, technical discussions and excellent training materials pertinent to the requirements of the aluminium industry. The Indian Aluminium Industry, Mining Industry, R&D and Academic Institutions actively participate in these programs and get benefited. More than 700 Industry personnel from NALCO Smelter, NALCO Rolling Plant, VEDANTA have been trained through these programmes.

JNARDDC has designed short term courses and training programs for the both the national and global Aluminium Industry personnel in the following areas :
