Benefits :
A Master Alloy is a base metal such as Aluminium / Copper / Iron with a replatively high percentage of one or two elements . An example is AlMn10 – a binary alloy consisting of 10 % Manganese in Aluminium . A master Alloy is a semi finished product. It is manufactured for use as a raw material by metal processing units . They are produced in various shapes & sizes , namely: ingots, waffles , cubes , rods in coil form etc.
Reasons for using a Master Alloy instead of a pure metal can be economical &/or technical . Some elements show high losses or poor yield when added in pure form . Some elements do not dissolve at all at the furnace temperature as in the cast house . A Master alloy often provided the solution as it dissolves mush quicker at lower temperatures thereby saving valuable energy and production time .
Some common Aluminium based Master Alloys manufactured by us :
1. Aluminium Manganese : 5 to 25 % .
2. Aluminium Silicon : 5 to 50 % .
3. Aluminium Copper : 5 to 50 % .
4. Aluminium Zirconium : 5 to 10 % .
5. Aluminium Titanium : 3 to 10 % .
6. Aluminium Berilium : 10 % .
7. Aluminium Nickle : 3 to 10 % .
8. Aluminium Chromium : 5 to 15 % .
