Established in 1990, Galaxy Transmissions Pvt Ltd [“Galaxy”] is a diversified group with interests in aluminium, power transmission and distribution.

Synergetic with the evolution of the power sector in India through the past two decades, Galaxy developed its bare overhead conductor product portfolio to cater to a wide range of power transmission and distribution applications - EHV (400kV - 765kV), HV (66kV - 220kV) and power distribution (11kV- 33kV).Galaxy’s conductor portfolio currently includes AAC (All Aluminium Conductors), AAAC (All Aluminium Alloy Conductors), ACAR (Aluminium Conductors Alloy Reinforced), ACSR (Aluminium Conductors Steel Reinforced), AACSR (Aluminium Alloy Conductors Steel Reinforced) and AL59 (Swedish Alloy with 59% Conductivity). Galaxy’s offerings also include T4 Rods, Armour Rods and AL59 Rods. The R&D team is also working on enhancing this portfolio through development of various alloy and energy efficient conductors.

Keeping with the sustained growth in demand from the Indian and global power sectors, Galaxy has recently completed its current phase of capacity expansion, executed through new Capex investments, equipment upgrades and improvements in process efficiencies.

Galaxy’s range of products are manufactured at ISO 9001:2008 certified facilities that comprise in-house aluminium melting furnaces, casting machines, rod rolling mills, coilers, specialized equipment for wire drawing, stranding and heat treatment, as well as fully equipped testing laboratories.Stringent monitoring systems, from raw materials to finished goods, ensure that quality is built into every aspect of Galaxy’s products rather than merely tested out at the end.Based on clients’ requirements, finished products are also type tested at the NABL laboratory in India and other international laboratories for a range of tests that include Spectro Analysis, Surface Condition, Ultimate Tensile Strength, Ampicity, DC Resistance, Stress Strain, RIV & Corona and Chemical Test.
