Formed Coke

Description

The formed is also considered as a new type of coke.

Formed coke is made from coal powder and other briquettes, and then carbonized. Some people also call the briquette made by oxidation heat treatment or self heat hardening treatment as briquette.

Formed coke is a kind of coke with uniform shape produced by pressure forming method, i.e. coke made from briquetted lump or spherical processing coal for metallurgy.

The formed coke can be used as industrial or civil block fuel and gasification raw material. Some formed coke can be used in blast furnace ironmaking or cupola smelting instead of some conventional coke.

There are many types of formed coke, which can be divided into hot pressed coke and cold pressed formed coke according to the preparation process, and can be divided into lignite type coke and anthracite type coke, blast furnace formed coke and cast formed coke according to raw materials or uses.
