Manganese Flakes are mainly known for their use in alloying with steel and for making additions to alloys that require Manganese. It can also be alloyed with other metals such as Aluminum, Antimony or Copper to form highly ferromagnetic materials. Electrolytic manganese metal flakes look like iron. Irregular flakes. It is firm and crisp. One side is bright and the other is rough. It is silvery white to brown in colour. The electrolytic manganese metal flakes manufacturing process uses manganese carbonate ore powder as raw material. Leach the raw material with sulfuric acid. Obtain a manganese sulfate solution. Uses of Electrolytic Manganese Metal Flake :
Electrolytic manganese metal flake is mainly used as an additive in the manufacturing of steel. Added to improve the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of aluminium alloys 3000-series, especially those used in the production of beverage can sheet alloys. Mn also acts as a deoxidizer or desulphuriser in the production of Steel. It is also used in the production of flux mixtures for welding rods.

The main purpose of silicon metal is the additive as a non-iron-base alloy. The content of silicon in the earth crust is 27.7%, the second largest element in the earth crust, the most abundant element in the earth's crust – oxygen and silicon – combine to silica sio2, accounting for 87% of the total mass of the crust. Silicon is a nonmetallic element, grey, metallic colour, hard and brittle. Atomic weight is 28.80; density is 2.33g/m3; the melting point is 1410℃; the boiling point is 2355℃; resistivity was 2140Ω.m.
